In this project, we had to make audio journals every week for all 12 weeks of the semester. Then by the end of the semester, we made this podcast, utilizing clips from our previously recorded audio journals and creating a narrative about how our first semester at college went. It was meant to help me reflect on how I might have changed, or even that I hadn’t really changed that much at all, but that was okay too. With this project, I was able to take a step back and review my first college semester from a more detailed journaling process than I have really ever done, and this was my first time actually journaling and reflecting on each week as it passes. Although I thought that this semester was difficult, I found reflecting on my week every week was important to create some sort of normal routine in my life. This project was important because it allowed me to be able to assess how I had progressed with the goals that I had set for myself not only because of the previous project, but also for myself with these new responsibilities that come with the first semester of college. This project also allowed me to work with iMovie, which I have used before and really enjoy making things on. Additionally, I could also acknowledge what things or goals that I had set that I was consistently having a hard time with. Bringing together all the aspects of my life as a college student, extracurricular, academic, and personal, let me think about how I was doin over the semester as a whole person, instead of just always focusing on academics, which is what most projects require.
